Nub Raj Bhandari

Nub Raj Bhandari has focused on girls’ and women's rights, education, and gender justice for the last 15 years. He works with Janaki Women Awareness Society, Nepal, and has led policy-focused research and projects that seek to transform societies by improving the lives of girls, women, and marginalized populations. He empowers girls and women so that they may recognize their dreams and communicate them to policymakers. In addition to having worked in Nepal, he has also undertaken short-term research fieldwork in Zimbabwe and Rwanda.

About Me

I mainly focus on issues related to girls’ and women's rights, education, gender, and social justice, and have expertise in project management, qualitative research, arts-based methodologies, and policy advocacy.

Over the past 16 years, I led several projects, helped thousands of people, particularly women and girls, to pursue an improved life. My projects and researches are policy-focused, that aim to transform societies by improving the lives of girls, women, and marginalized populations. In addition to Nepal, I have also conducted research field work in Zimbabwe and Rwanda for a short period of time.

I have authored several articles, book chapters in an edited volume, and research blogs, which have been widely read and cited in several publications across the world.

I have an MPhil degree and is presently engaged with the Janaki Women Awareness Society, Nepal.
